Steve joined Gidel & Kocal Construction in 2014, bringing over 35 years of commercial construction experience. His passion for the industry was sparked at an early age by his father’s commercial construction company. Throughout his career, Steve has built strong relationships with several large biotech clients, life science property developers, medical device manufacturers, and high-tech/electronic companies.
Steve’s role at Gidel & Kocal has evolved significantly over the years. Coming from a project management background, he played a key part in a company restructuring initiative, leveraging his natural ability to connect with clients and understand their pre-construction needs. This approach allowed him to take a more hands-on role in assisting with feasibility studies, business development, and strategic planning for projects before construction even begins. His deep understanding of pre-construction phases, including budgeting, scheduling, and risk assessment, ensures projects are set up for success long before ground is broken.
