Alyssa joined Gidel & Kocal Construction in 1999 as an accounts payable assistant while attending college. In 2021, when father and founder, Lance Gidel passed over the company, Alyssa and her sister, Ashley Gidel, became the next generation of leaders. Alyssa considers taking over Gidel & Kocal Construction as CFO and continuing the family legacy with her sister her biggest career win to date. Today, she provides a wide range of invaluable services for Gidel & Kocal, from accounts receivable and human resources to handling all financial aspects of the business. Recently, in June 2023, Alyssa was honored as a Woman of Influence by the Silicon Valley Business Journal for her outstanding impact in the Bay Area and the construction industry.
FUN FACT: Alyssa has two daughters, one in high school and one recently graduated Chico State University. She loves spending time with her family on their farm where they have chickens, miniature horses and two Jack Russell terriers.
