This year the Gidel & Kocal team along with our amazing guests spent their Friday at Tenuta Vineyard in Livermore, where the lovely weather permitted a fun-filled day!
With a great start hearing from Rich who explained the history of Tenuta Vineyard owner, Nancy, who opened the winery in 2002 and is the ONLY Female owner & Winemaker in the Livermore Valley. She built an 18,000 square foot “Custom Crush” facility and became an incubator for winemakers helping them obtain their licenses and use her facilities to crush their grapes, and label bottles, providing barrel storage.
Then came the time to grab our bucket and shears along with a hearty glass of wine and head off to the vines to cut our very own grapes!
However, a good grape-picking day isn’t finished without charging up for the grape stomp with an exclusive showing of the very ‘I Love Lucy’ episode that inspired the activity.
No matter how mushy the grapes or sticky the feet, our team and guests couldn’t have asked for a better way to spend a Friday!
