Along with the Annual Golf Tournament, Gidel & Kocal sets out to appreciate all the women we have built relationships with.
Gidel & Kocal welcomed back their Annual Women’s Event last week on Friday, October 7th at La Rinconada Country Club… but with a twist! From years’ past of sushi making classes, a new wave of wine blending and charcuterie making emerged at this year’s event.
The day began with a fierce wine blending group competition from an assortment of decadent finished wines of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Malbec, and Petit Verdot, all provided by Joseph George Wines. With beakers and pipets, the heat was high to measure out the perfect wine blend to impress our esteemed wine judge, Lance Gidel. The activity was sure full of team building, wine tasting, and fun conversation… but that wasn’t all!
After lunch, we brought in experienced caterers from Elite Meal Service to demonstrate how to create the perfect, aesthetically pleasing charcuterie board. From a variety of meats, cheeses, and fruits with a special fruit-jalapeno jam, the food experts gave tips and insights about how to arranged cheeses and fold meats. The colorful creativity from the ladies were all in their very own way unique and the charcuterie boards were a success!
A day full of wine, food, laughter, and good people – that’s all we can ask for on a Friday!
