Starting in 1999 at Gidel & Kocal as an accounts payable assistant while attending college, Alyssa has since become responsible for accounts receivable, human resources as well as handling all financial aspects of the business.
In 2021, when father and founder, Lance Gidel passed over the company, Alyssa and her sister, Ashley Gidel, became the next generation of leaders. Alyssa considers taking over Gidel & Kocal Construction as CFO and continuing the family legacy with her sister her biggest career win to date.
In June of 2023, Alyssa was recognized for all her hard work in the industry and her impact on the company, being named a Woman of Influence by the Silicon Valley Business Journal.
Among all local women leaders, Alyssa was honored in the 100 most influential and will continue to create change as a woman in the construction industry.
