Rick Steiner joined Gidel and Kocal Construction in 2013. He has over 30 years of experience in residential and commercial construction. He started in the trades as a carpenter and moved his way up to site superintendent and then project manager, cutting his teeth on ground-up construction, tenant improvements, laboratory, and retail projects.
Rick works closely with the customer to develop, maintain, and adhere to the project scope, budget and schedule while determining the necessary resources (time, cost, labor, materials) required for each project. As he provides guidance and oversight for the field crew and subcontractors, he keeps customers updated throughout the build-out process. Rick coordinates with city, state and federal agencies within often limited time frames to obtain relevant permits and licenses while ensuring applicable schedules and standards are maintained throughout the duration. Even as the project nears completion, Rick is engaged every step of the way, reviewing client billings, coordinating, and submitting as-builts, warranties and other close-out materials at project conclusion.
In his free time, Rick enjoys tennis, a nice round of golf and camping with his family.
